2K Games has appointed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to lead the development team at 31st Union, which is currently developing the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as Project Ethos.

Management Shift Comes After Poor Feedback

The new appointee takes on the leadership position at 31st Union following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' lackluster unveiling last fall.

On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer updated team members about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had indicated the necessity for a clearer game identity.

The president noted that the developers is now reimagining the project with a renewed approach, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.

Trend of Key Acquisitions

This announcement follows a comparable move taken by the publisher in August, when they recruited an industry veteran from the Diablo team to contribute to the beloved franchise development group.

Ben’s leadership and background in the PVP shooter field is vast, having devoted the last 15 years producing and overseeing some of the most popular titles in the industry, such as the acclaimed shooter, and lately, Apex Legends.
